We are looking for an In-Home Generator Sales Representative who is motivated, customer-focused, and experienced in in-home sales. This is an exciting opportunity to represent industry-leading Generac products and be part of a team helping homeowners protect what matters most.
Position Overview
As an In-Home Generator Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business, conducting in-home consultations, delivering customized backup power solutions, and guiding customers through the entire sales process. You will play a key role in expanding residential generator installations throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, qualify, and close residential generator sales
- Conduct in-home consultations and evaluate homeowner backup power needs
- Educate customers on the benefits of whole-home standby generator systems
- Prepare and present customized proposals based on site conditions and load requirements
- Collaborate with operations and installation teams to ensure a smooth handoff from sale to install
- Maintain CRM records, track leads, and report progress to management
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals
Qualifications
- 2–3+ years of proven success in in-home sales (home improvement, HVAC, generators, roofing, or similar preferred)
- Strong ability to build rapport, present solutions, and close deals in a home setting
- Comfortable conducting in-home consultations and evaluating customer needs
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
- Experience using CRM systems and sales tools
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for appointments
